Ukukhula Enterprise Development
Ukukhula Enterprise Development is an NPO that was established on the 02 of February 2017. Its main objectives are:
- Manage CSI on behalf of co-operations
- To empower and sustain communities
- Provide funding to small businesses
- Supply schools and orphanages with financial assistance and other resources
Since its inception Ukukhula has been actively involved in supporting its communities in a number of ways:
- Supporting educational institutions( schools, pre-schools and universities) to assist children and young people, school fees, upgrading facilities or assisting teachers with salaries.
- Donating to institutions that use art and culture to keep young people in disadvantaged communities off the streets.
- Supporting institutions that take care of the frail and vulnerable, like kids hospices and adult hospices, old age homes, asylums and early childhood care
- Donating and providing support to drug rehabilitation centers
- Supporting faith Based organizations that participate in community building
- Giving food vouchers to widows, orphans, single mothers and people in great need of food.
- Providing financial and enterprise development support to SMME
The church is birthed from the perspective of having a biblical, relevant, Christ-like church that will glorify God the father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
If one read the book of Acts, there are some practical aspects like prayer, the word, looking after the poor and sharing that speaks to every born-again believer. Today many churches have moved away from these instructions given to the early and church and became just another organization.
We are not against music, excellence and church programs. These things we will do and it is important , but will be secondary. Our primary focus is the word of God. People must come to church to hear and be taught the word of God chapter by chapter.
At Live the word Ministries, community equals church. We believe that the function of the church is to serve in our local communities. We strive to be a church that is active in building, uplifting and empowering people to find their God given purpose here on earth.
We distribute close to 1 ton of food every month to various NPO’s
The church supports Home churches with feeding schemes
More than 50 food vouchers are distributed monthly to the homeless and less fortunate
